Do you have a passion for space and possible a nightly glass of Wine? Well… You’re in luck. According to Discovery News, Ian Hutcheon, a vineyard owner in Chile has created the first meteorite infused wine. The Cabernet Sauvignon red wine is called Meteorito, and has been created and fermented with a 4.5 billion year old meteor that hit the earth around 6,000 years ago from the astro belt between Mars and Jupiter.

Why would someone go to the extent of creating a wine like this? According to Ian, it’s a combination of passion for creating wine and his interest in Astronomy. He also says that the Meteor marination gives the wine a “livelier taste”.

All I know is next time I’m strolling down the wine isle and I see a bottle of Meterorito, I’m definitely going to give it a try, although, I’m sure this particular wine is going to be quite expensive. A little more money for a better taste… and the possibility of gaining super powers… I’m in!

Unfortunately right now the Wine is only available from the creators observatory in Chile, but reports say that Ian Hutcheon plans to make the wine available worldwide in the near future. So, be on the look out!
