Foundation KR – Inspiration from Web Evolutionists

There are few sites that I visit for web development and entrepreneurial inspiration; however, one of them sticks out in my mind that I feel is definitely worthy of writing a post about. The site that I am referring to is called ‘Foundation’. The URL is

It’s kind of funny that I get excited when I see a new episode has been released.

So, what is foundation? Foundation is a simple video site where the creator, Kevin Rose, interviews popular web entrepreneur and CEO’s of popular Web Apps. In case you have never heard of Kevin, I’ll give you a little insight into who he is. Kevin Rose was the co-founder of the popular He is also an angel investor and now recently an employee with the brilliant minds at Google. He used to host a show called Diggnation, where him and his buddy would drink beer and talk about the hottest stories on Digg. It may sound dumb, but it was actually really entertaining :)

Anyway, Foundation is a collection of great web entrepreneurial interviews. As a web developer myself, I tend to get tied down with my position at work and feel that I am working a repetitive position that has no hopes of showing great success. Well, this web series has definitely given me new hope. Kevin Rose has interviewed several great minds including the creators of Twitter, Instragram, Ustream, and many more amazing people including Tim Ferris.

One of the things that I love about this video series is that you can tell the conversations and interviews are genuine, honest, and of course inspirational. If you are interested in coming up with new web ideas or love building new web applications you will definitely be a fan of this great show. So, be sure to head on over to and meet the minds behind some great web apps.

The Amazing Spider-man 2012

It appears Toby McGuire has to make room and step aside for the latest rendition of the latest Spider-man movie, titled The Amazing Spider-man. This awesome looking movie is not going to be Spider-man 4, yet it claims to be the untold story about Spider-man. According to the IMDB page, Peter Parker finds clues that lead to uncovering the disappearance of his parents which set him on a collision course with Dr. Curt Connors, his father’s former partner.

The main actors include Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. You may be asking yourself, what about Mary Jane Watson (MJ)? Who is playing her part in this new installment? Well, many sources have reported that MJ will not appear in this rendition of Spider-man. In The Amazing Spider-man, Gwen Stacy is Peter Parkers main love interest, which kind of makes sense. In the comic books Gwen Stacy was actually Peter Parkers first love. You can read more about the uproar of MJ not appearing in the Amazing Spider-man at And don’t worry for those of you who are big Stan Lee fans, you will of course get a chance to see Stan Lee casted by…. None other than Stan Lee!

The scheduled release date for this film, as of writing this article, is July 03, 2012. Checkout the official trailer below:

Additionally you can visit the IMDB page or the Official Amazing Spider-man website for more information about this movie.

I know where I’m going to be the day before 4th of July… Snuggled up in my theater seat with a face-full of Popcorn, soda and candy to my side, and wide eyes as I experience this new kick-ass movie!

How to animate yourself in Adobe Illustrator

Well, there’s really no trick to it. You just got to start adding some lines and start modifying. Now, I know I’m not a pro at this, but this is my first attempt at animating myself from an original picture. It only took me about an hour and a half, luckily I have sped up the video for you. Check it out below ;)

Here is the original picture, it’s me and my nieces at SeaWorld during christmas time :)

And here is the final product of animating my face:

How I Met Your Mother

I would have to say that after renting the first DVD of this great television show, I was hooked. It’s been awhile since I have enjoyed a sit-com as much as I enjoy watching this smart and hilarious show.

The main characters in the show include Ted Mosby, Marshall Erikson, Barney Stinson, Lilly Aldrin, and Robin Scherbatsky. If you would personally ask me I would say that How I Met Your Mother (or ‘HIMYM’) is a show similar to ‘Friends’ in the fact that the characters are a group of close friends who live in New York and help eachother through lifes ups and downs usually in a comedic fashion.

Another great thing about this show is that it’s narrative voice is, none other then, the voice of Bob Saget! … Awesome!

This pilot episode aired in September of 2005, and since then is currently on their 5th season.

I would have to definitely recommend this new sit-com to anyone who enjoys the light and entertaining humor of CBS shows. Definitely a 5 out of 5. Check out the first season from Netflix or BlockBuster and I’m sure you will feel the same way.
